Announcing Two New ATG Youth Scholarship Funds

2. Music Tuition Scholarship

Accordion Study Scholarship


Eligibility

  • Any ATG member or student of an ATG member
  • Anyone not yet 21 years of age in the year the scholarship is awarded
  • Must be actively involved in studying accordion performance with an ATG approved teacher on piano accordion or chromatic accordion with either or both Stradella and free bass system

Application for scholarship

  • Fill out the official ATG scholarship forms which can be found and completed from our ATG web site at the following link: Application Form
  • Along with the application, the candidate will submit via YouTube a video link with the following categories of music performed live for the YouTube entry:
       
    Classical or Baroque selection (no more than 5 minutes)
       Original accordion selection (no more than 5 minutes)
       Choice selection any style (no more than 5 minutes)
  • These video entries will be reviewed by our distinguished ATG staff once all the entries have been submitted
  • There will be one $300 scholarship per year awarded in this category
  • Once the decision has been made, and the candidate has won the scholarship award, those funds will be paid directly to the student’s teacher, to be used toward instruction until consumption of the funds is complete
  • The deadline for all YouTube entries for this scholarship will be exactly one month prior to the current year’s ATG Festival and a final judges’ decision will be made one week before the Festival. The scholarship winner and recipient will be announced at the Festival
  • This scholarship is not auto renewed and the candidate(s) will need to apply and compete for the scholarship each year that it is awarded

Music Tuition Scholarship

 
Eligibility

  • Any ATG member or student of an ATG member
  • Candidate must be college age, and is either entering or actively pursuing an undergraduate degree program in music with accordion or another applied major instrument
  • Regardless of the candidate’s applied major instrument in college, he/she must be actively involved in studying accordion performance with an ATG approved teacher on piano accordion or chromatic accordion with as well as any free bass system

Application for scholarship

  • Fill out the official ATG scholarship forms which can be found and completed from our ATG web site at the following link: Application Form
  • Along with the application, the candidate will submit via YouTube video link the following categories of music performed live for the YouTube entry, and all must demonstrate usage of a free bass system:
       Classical or Baroque selection (no more than 5 minutes)
       Original accordion selection (no more than 5 minutes)
       Choice selection any style (no more than 5 minutes)


  • These video entries will be reviewed by our distinguished ATG staff once all the entries have been submitted
  • There will be one $500 scholarship per year awarded in this category
  • Once the decision has been made, and the candidate has won the scholarship award, those funds will be paid directly to the student to use for payments to the college/university institution attended
  • The deadline for all YouTube entries for this scholarship will be exactly one month prior to the current year’s ATG Festival and a final judges’ decision will be made one week before the Festival. The scholarship winner and recipient will be announced at the Festival so that funds will be available for the upcoming university school year
  • This scholarship is not auto renewed and the candidate(s) will need to apply and compete for the scholarship each year that it is awarded
  • Please consider becoming active benefactors of these very important scholarship programs. We need to keep them going with the help of benefactors from our membership, friends of our membership, other accordion enthusiasts, and/or individuals or corporations who would like to promote our wonderful instrument and artists with charitable contributions to these funds.
