Finale Concert

The NZAA massed orchestra of about 40 players conducted by Lionel Reekie played two works.
1. We All Love Accordions which is a new work composed especially for the China Accordion Association "2015 China Youth Accordion Year" by Zhang Tianyu.
2. Blues Medley arranged by Gary Daverne ONZM.

3 Accordions is a trio of the Panzic sisters: Olivia, Stephanie and Kristina.
New Zealand South Pacific Solo Open and New Zealand Open Champion 1st place was Helen Wang (New Zealand)
Marina Jin was presented her trophy this afternoon as she was leaving on a flight for Australia and could not attend the evening Finale Dinner and prize giving. Patrick Liu (New Zealand), 2015 South Pacific Solo Champion and also NZ Solo Champion.

Zhandong Yao (China) winner of the South Pacific 18 years and under Solo Championship was a worthy winner with his program of virtuoso entertainment music.
Guest artist Jinchen Xue (China), currently living in Melbourne. He played a program and demonstrated to the audience very quickly, why he has enjoyed international successes, 2nd place Klingenthal in Germany and also 2nd place at the 2013 Coupe Mondiale Junior Virtuoso Entertainment category. Encores were clapped for and enjoyed very much.
The Auckland Accordion Symphonietta conducted by Lionel Reekie.
'Retro-Mix' (medley of Star Wars, Axel-F, Africa and The Final Countdown).

The program of the Auckland Accordion Symphonietta was really enjoyed by the audience and received prolonged clapping.

Compere Stephen Cope closed the event and thanked everyone for attending and participating.

Farewell Dinner

We enjoyed great music all night from the Starlight Duo of Maurice Jones and Lionel Reekie. Our thanks also to Stephen Cope. The super music really made a great night and we thank these wonderful musicians very much.
