Competition Results

Sunday morning masterclasses began with Alma Flammersberger, Bosnia / Germany - graduate of Boris Lenko, Bratislava Music Academy, Slovakia working with Richard She.
Tania Lukic-Marx, Graduate of Prof. Besfamilnov, Kiev National Academy and Alma Flammersberger demonstrating with Kelvin Luu.

To finish the Sunday Morning Masterclasses was Vladimir Anikin, 2006 Coupe Mondiale Piano Accordion Champion of Russia and Lina Chegodaev.  

After lunch came the AATA Gala Concert and Trohpy Presentation. Opening the concert was the Sydney Balalaika Orchestra directed by Victor Serghie (4th from left) which has long been renowned amongst the Sydney concert going public. Here Victor Serghie is thanking the accordionists of the orchestra Ivan Liashenko, Lina Chegodaev and Nick Shcherbakov.

John MacDonald wowed the audience with a great show, a few jokes, his Scottish regalia and pieces from his latest CD's.
John MacDonald showed the audience why he is in such international demand recently making many world cruises on luxury liners, entertaining their guests.
Ace Ensemble with Cathy Day as musical director played an enjoyable program.
International Open Solo Accordion Championship winner Grayson Masefield showed his versatility performing Virtuoso Entertainment music.
Grayson Masefield was popular and received strong applause.
Tania Lukic-Marx and Ivan Liashenko present the South Pacific 12 years and under Piano Accordion Championship trophy to Richard She of Australia.

Finishing off the AATA Gala Concert was Marjan Krajna of Croatia who the audience enjoyed very much.

Tania making the final speech and thanking all the helpers, teachers and competitors for their help in making a most successful weekend. The Club Marconi with its very nice facilities will be the AATA competition venue for 2008.
