Peter Senior was born in
1900 in Casorzo, part of the region of Piedmont in Northern Italy.
He arrived in Australia in 1922, and his musical career started in Australia
in 1924 with his first concert appearances touring in Queensland.
Living in Sydney, Peter Piccini was the first accordionist to appear
as featured soloist with the Isodor Goodman Orchestra at the St James
Theatre, Sydney.
In 1934 he appeared in the movie Strike Me Lucky with Roy Rene. Other
notable performances included the Tivoli Variety Show in Sydney and
Melbourne as well as broadcasting on all national and commercial radio
stations.
He also broadcasted with Jim Davidsons famous dance band on Radio 2CF
Sydney, the Jack Davey Shows and with Sir Charles Moses on ABC stations.
He recorded for Regal Zonophone
and Columbia Records.
